The work of a woman is one of receptive, awakened consciousness.

I’m Yiota…

I welcome you to my page.

We all come to this work through our own journey, our own calling. Here is a little of what brings me to the work you find here today.

Born in the UK to a Greek Cypriot, Greek Orthodox family, the Christian story was woven into me from the beginning. In my early twenties I met my Tai Chi and Qigong teacher, trained in Chinese medicine, and so the Taoist and Buddhist traditions naturally became a part of the very fabric of my daily life.

In my late twenties I met my teacher in the Jewish mystical tradition of Kabbalah, and from there began an integration - of East and West, body and spirit, the visible and the invisible.

What slowly emerged over many years was a deepening interest in the feminine qualities that live within all these traditions. The receptive. The hidden. The part that listens deeply. That part that knows through the lived experience of the body and the willing engagement of the heart.

Now, as I enter my fifth decade, with over twenty-five years of practice behind me, the work I offer women draws on what I have lived and learned - across traditions, through the medicine and wisdom of the body, and in the quiet, often hidden places of experience. It asks one simple question: what becomes possible when a woman turns towards her own depths?

Hecate’s Threshold

A Nine Week Initiatory Passage for Women at Midlife

A One-to-One Online Intensive

By Application Only

This nine week container is for women at midlife who sense that something is changing - not on the surface, but deep in the bones. Women who feel they have arrived at a threshold and know, somehow, that there is no going back.

It is an intimately held, one-to-one space for the kind of inner work that cannot be rushed. We move through it slowly, with intention - mapping the inner landscape of where you are, approaching your threshold as a conscious initiation, and beginning to integrate what emerges on the other side.

This work is offered by application only, to those women who feel they are ready.

The Monthly Practice

Somatic Work · Non-Linear Movement · Meditation

Open to All Women

Once a month we gather online for an hour of embodied feminine practice. Each session carries its own theme, timed where possible to align with the astrological and seasonal rhythms relevant to the work.

We work with the Non-Linear Movement Method™ - a somatic practice that invites the body to move freely, without choreography or imposition, releasing held tension and awakening the body’s own intelligence. Alongside this, guided meditations rooted in Taoist Qigong and Chinese Medicine theory bring attention to the pelvic region - the womb, the ovaries and lower belly - honouring this territory as a centre for feminine wisdom and vitality.

Each session is different. Each session returns to the same essential question: what does your body know?

First Session Saturday 16 May 2026 · 5pm · Online over Zoom

This month: Biological Grounding and Qigong Foundations

Structural somatic work focused on the female organs and lower belly, aligned with the Super New Moon in Taurus.

£15 per session.

Kabbalah and the Eastern Traditions

International Kabbalah Global Study Day

Saturday 23 May 2026 · 3pm BST · Online via Zoom

Yiota will be a guest speaker at this international Kabbalah conference, exploring the parallels between Eastern traditions and Kabbalistic teaching, and the body as a psycho-spiritual vehicle. She looks at how the energetic pathways of the heart in Chinese Medicine and the Tabernacle pattern given to Moses reflect a shared archetypal structure.

The session concludes with a Tantra-based movement meditation designed to awaken the functions of the lower face of the Tree of Life. Suitable for all levels - the practice can be done seated or on a yoga mat.

£20 for the full day · All sessions recorded.
